The Midland and East Coast Region is one of 9 GMB Regions across the UK. We cover an area traditionally known as the East Midlands, Humberside and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Region stretches from Scarborough in the north, to Wellingborough in the south and from Boston in the east, to Buxton in the west.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT PAY - 0.5% OFFER REJECTED

At a full National Joint Council meeting today the Trade Union Side (GMB, Unison and Unite) formally rejected the employers 0.5% pay offer.  The employers agreed to hold further talks with the TU Side to try to achieve a negotiated settlement.
