    It takes great determination to become a champion at anything and 14 year old Boston schoolgirl Nesta Baxter knows this more than most. Nesta is the British champion for her age in the sport of kickboxing and combines school studies with a punishing 6 days a week training schedule which includes two weekly round trips to Nottingham to train with the UK elite squad.     GMB members at Fenner Dunlop, Hull down tools on the 17 December 2014 after talks on pay and conditions broke down.

    Our members have just come out of an eight month long short time working period and although are pleased to be back on full time hours, for three years the employer has failed to address the in-equality with the bonus scheme and also the policy on severance is a big issue for members.

    Children from Nottingham City Schools got the chance to enter a competition to help to promote free school meals and healthy eating.  Nottingham City catering has introduced the “Veggie Gang” to try and familiarise the children with different vegetables and to introduce them into their diet.  (more…)
