NEW AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH THAMES AMBULANCE SERVICE LIMITEDComments Off on NEW AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH THAMES AMBULANCE SERVICE LIMITED
TASL and GMB Midlands and East Coast (MEC), have officially signed a Joint Consultative and Negotiation Agreement to further enhance and embed improving Employee Relations. The new agreement defines and embeds formal processes for addressing concerns locally and fast tracking to the top where and when necessary.
Colin Todd, Regional Organiser at GMB MEC said:
“After some cordial discussions I am delighted that we have now got an agreement in place for Consultation and Negotiations. This will ensure that employee engagement and communication improve with the GMB Union right at the heart of all future discussions regarding all aspects of the Company.”
“This agreement enhances the current recognition agreement which gives GMB sole negotiating rights at TASL and confirms that TASL want to work with the GMB Union in a pro-active way. I look forward to seeing this agreement become the centre point of consultation and negotiations for the future. “
Derek Laird, Chief Executive at TASL, said:
“Our partnership with GMB stretches back to the Investors acquisition of TASL back in 2013. It’s a relationship we value and are very happy to build upon. These joint consultative and negotiating arrangements provide us with the opportunity to deal with issues at station/base level speedily and where that’s not possible, there is a tiered escalation route to the Board and regional officers.
I’d like to thank everyone involved in putting these arrangements in place. It’s good for our staff, good for our managers and good for our patients.”
