Tax Refund Company
Tax Refund Company
The GMB Midlands and East Coast Region has a special arrangement with the ‘Tax Refund Company’ to find out if you’re due a tax refund. If you’ve been employed at any time during that last 6 years and haven’t checked whether you are owed a refund, here’s your chance.
The main points to consider are as follows:
97% of applicants do not expect to get a refund when they fill in the claim form as they assume their employer has deducted the correct amount of tax!
Nearly 1 in 3 members using the service receives a tax refund
Unless you receive a refund, it’s ENTIRELY FREE OF CHARGE
ONLY if you receive a refund, will a fee of 40p in the pound be deducted from your refund
In the VERY RARE case The Tax Refund Company finds an underpayment, only you will be informed. However, they will (if requested) work FREE OF CHARGE, to help reduce the amount you should pay back. In many cases, they’ve managed to get the Revenue to cancel underpayments entirely!

Discounted Panthers Tickets
As main team sponsors of Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team, the GMB has secured EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNTS for all GMB members to home matches of £1.50 per ticket. This is a discount of between 10% and 20%.

Nurses Registration Fee

- Weekly accident benefit - £9.25 per week for up to 11 weeks for an accident at work. Payable after two weeks absence. £4 per week for part time members.
- Total disablement benefit - Up to a maximum of £4000 for full time working members and up to a maximum of £2000 for part time members.
- Fatal accident benefit - Up to a maximum of £4000 for full time working members and up to a maximum of £2000 for part time members.
- Funeral benefit - A payment of £250 is available for members with 8 years or more continuous membership.
- Dispute benefit - £50 per week for full time members and £25 per week for part time members

Where motoring offences are concerned, we are right behind you if you run into trouble on the road.
Where there is motoring Incidents occurring during both employment and private motoring. (Including standard penalty motoring offences) The GMB can help.
Access to a Solicitor can make all the difference as this fund provides immediate legal support.
For a small weekly contribution of 25 pence per week we will provide you with recompense of up to 80% of any ”hardship” you encounter.

No sick pay scheme at work?
Join the AS&F Fund today - £1.00 entrance fee.
AS&F contributions 20p, 50p, or 75p per week and this entitles you to financial assistance for sickness, accident and funeral benefit.
