E- Petition in Support of BAE Workers at Brough
BAE Systems decision to end manufacturing at the Brough site and make redundant 900 highly skilled workers is a devastating blow to this region and the manufacturing industry in general.
Their decision to end 100 years of aircraft manufacturing in this area is nothing short of disgraceful when considering the company are in talks to sell Hawks to a foreign government and
are expecting to sign a Hawk order sometime mid 2012. The Decision to move the manufacturing to another site and sub contract large parts of the build when the people in this area have built that product for over 25 years is not only ill thought out but an economic disaster for this region. Brough is and always has been The Home of the Hawk.
The people and local business in this area of the country who depend on these jobs will be absolutely devastated, we must try to bring about a debate in Parliament and put pressure on BAE to overturn this devastating decision Please support this E petition and help us Turn this situation around your support would be much appreciated.
