GMB Members in the Health Service

Following the GMB ballot to consult its 30,000 members in the UK on pay working across all services in the NHS, GMB members voted by over 96% to reject the NHS three year pay offer.

In a separate ballot of GMB members across Ambulance Services the vote to reject came in even higher at 97%.

This result represents a resounding decision and sends a clear message to Government!

“Yes to this year’s 2.75% offer but NO to a long term pay cut”.

GMB now want the Government to think hard about this result and to meet urgently with GMB to discuss how a more realistic pay deal can be achieved in the future economic climate for NHS staff.
