NOTTINGHAM CITY COUNCIL - GMB OPPOSE DISCUSSIONS ON CRAFT WORKING
The Local Authority propose to look at the terms and conditions of craft workers as part of the single status issue, and as a consequence of consultation with our colleagues from Unite and Unison our position is as follows:
This is a National Agreement and as a consequence we cannot enter into discussions locally over this matter. The signatories to this are GMB and Unite the Union, Unison are not signatories to this particular agreement although they will, of course, be invited to have their say on it.
As a consequence of a meeting that was held several weeks ago, we have made our position quite plain that we cannot unfortunately enter into local negotiations.
